Mohamed Gomaa is a Judge at the “Center of Judicial Studies and research”, also at the court of appeal and a board member of the “DT and CR Unit” at the Egyptian State Council, Ministry of Justice Cairo, Egypt since 2014. A board member of the “CIArb YMG Global Steering Committee”.

He worked as a Research Assistant, Public Int. Law Department, Institute of Law and Economics, Hamburg University, Germany – project “Economics of Judicial Systems”, since Oct 2021. A part of a research team working on a project regarding “Coding Arabic texts and Machine learning”, Institute of Law and Economics, Hamburg University, Germany. One of the selected Judges to participate in the EU judicial project “FRICoRe” (Fundamental Rights in Courts and Regulation & AI). “TRAINING THE TRAINERS” A CROSS-SECTORAL TRAINING FOR EUROPEAN JUDGES AND TRAINERS. A Founder of the “Energy Related Arbitration Practitioners” (ENERAP) Chapter in Egypt. A Guest Lecturer at MediateGuru’s Mediation School (Nov – Dec 2021). A Member of the scientific committee of International Journal of Legal Interpretative Judgement, published by the “Democratic Arab Center” Germany – Berlin. A former lawyer, the legal affairs department at the Egyptian Russian University from 2012 to 2014.

Gomaa is a board member of Many International and domestic associations and committees, he also has had the privilege to speak as a guest panelist at prestigious law conferences in different parts of the world, which notably include the scientific symposium on “Digital Transformation and Data Security and Safety in Arab Courts” organized by the Arab Centre for Legal and Judicial Research. . An author published different articles in Arabic, French and English.

Currently, he is a Ph.D. candidate at Hamburg University, Germany. He has a triple L.L.M /Master’s degree in Law & Economics, Thesis subject “The effect of Digital Transformation (DT) on the efficiency of Judicial Systems”.
