Impact of Generative AI on legal business

Since the release of ChatGPT in late 2022, virtually everybody is talking (again) about AI, especially generative AI. The legal industry is no exception. Especially now that AI is coming for knowledge worker’s jobs. The old scare that robots are going to replace human lawyers is on a lot of minds, again.

ELTA wants to bring some balanced arguments into the discussion. So we assembled a panel of experts in the field to talk about the impact of generative AI on the legal service industry, the red lines that have to be drawn, and how this technology will help with better access to justice. Our speakers are closely involved in AI in the legal domain since long before LLM’s arrived on everybody’s radar.

    Panelists:
Tom Martin • CEO and Founder of Lawdroid (moderator)
Natalie Anne Knowlton • Co-Founder of Access to Justice Ventures, LLC
Dazza Greenwood • Founder of law.MIT.edu and CIVICS.com
Henrik Wehrs • Head of Legal Technology at Allen & Overy Europe
Aleksandr Tiulkanov • AI, Data & Digital Policy Counsel
