Wolters Kluwer, member of the European Legal Technology Association since 2017, announced earlier this month its acquisition of Della AI, a provider of leading artificial intelligence technology based on advanced natural language processing (NLP). This technology allows legal professionals to review contracts in multiple languages by simply asking questions. Della AI will become part of the Legal Software unit of Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory, which offers market-leading LegalTech solutions such as Legisway, all-in-one software for corporate legal departments, and Kleos, cloud-based legal practice management software for law firms.
In an interview with Caroline Hill, from Legal IT Insider, Sergio Liscia, vice president and general manager of legal software (legal and regulatory division) said:
“Della is now part of a multi-billion corporation with strong resources, capabilities, and a solid financial position. So it means they have more opportunities to develop the team and the product and more certainty about the future of Della. Moreover, it will give a sense of certainty to large corporate clients that they can continue to rely on and expand their use of the Della technology.”
